NEXT DEBATE TO BE HELD ON MOON | Weekly World News

Following reports of lackluster ratings, the Commission on Presidential Debates has decided to put the next event on the Moon. The group has pushed the excitement even further by touting Bat Boy as the event?s moderator.

?The first presidential debate was just doomed from the start,? said Samuel P. Wiltmouth, debate expert and professor of U.S. history at the University of Kansas. ?When you have such explosive personalities, you need a venue and moderator to match. Bat Boy ? and the Moon ? will be perfect.?

The logistics of the plan have already been hit repeatedly by critics. As getting the candidates and Bat Boy on the moon to begin with may be a challenge, many are not sure that it?s even appropriate. After all, the Moon does not belong to the U.S., so how could the country claim it to be used in such a way?

?Baloney,? said Ken Fortino, a conservative blogger. ?We were there first ? it?s ours. We put our flag up there. You don?t look up there and see the China flag, do you??

As candidates prepare for the debate slated for this Tuesday, they have to not only solidify their knowledge of topics, but also work with NASA scientists to become accustomed to astronautical gear and conditions. The debate will be televised, with only equipment crews, Bat Boy and the two debaters present on Earth?s only natural
satellite.

?Away from the audience ? away from the Earth ? these two men can finally have their bout without distraction,? Wiltmouth said. ?It will be interesting to see who gets the post-debate Moonbounce!?
