Care Net Pregnancy Center offers programs for dads ? Fertility and ...

HACKETTSTOWN Care Net Pregnancy Resources of Warren County announces its Fatherhood 101 initiative for any fathers and fathers-to-be wishing to learn more about being a 24/7 Dad in todays world. This practical fatherhood initiative addresses the excitement, fears, frustration and concerns that almost every father encounters in parenting.

Fathers and fathers-to-be will meet one-on-one with a trained male client advocate exploring the various roles of fatherhood and parenting. Participants will gain awareness, understanding, and practical knowledge about the different roles of a man within the family, including: being the protector of their family, the leader of their home, and how to guide ones family with love and grace. Participants will also explore what success in parenting and fatherhood looks like in the 21st Century. Fathers and fathers-to-be earn Baby bucks each visit which they can use toward material goods from the Centers baby closet, such as diapers, wipes, clothing, and other essentials.

Laura Hanrahan, executive director of Care Net, states that, men in the Fatherhood Initiative have the potential to break the mold of past negative experiences and work toward success at the most important job in the world that of being a great Dad. Program topics include such areas as, balancing work and family; forming a family; and becoming a 24/7 Dad. Hanrahan adds, Interested fathers and fathers-to-be are welcome to take advantage of the Centers fatherhood program even if the mother of their child isnt a client at the center. All services are free and confidential.

Care Net Pregnancy Resources of Warren County is a nonprofit organization serving Warren and western Morris Counties. It supports both women and men needing options following an unplanned pregnancy, and provides ongoing support in successful parenting. In addition, the Center offers help following abortion as well as education about positive lifestyle choices and sexual health.
